Privacy notes for Canary beta
Canary is a friendly air-quality companion in private beta. This page explains the data we expect to collect while testing the early version.
What Canary may collect
- Signup answers such as profile type, general location, and email address.
- Saved places you add in the app, such as home, work, or school addresses.
- Air-quality readings, alert thresholds, app surface, and beta feedback you choose to send.
- Basic technical information, including IP address and device push token, when backend alerts are enabled.
How we use it
We use this information to run the beta, improve alert quality, understand which screens need polish, and notify testers when watched places cross their chosen air line.
What Canary is not
Canary is lifestyle guidance, not medical advice, emergency guidance, or an official public-health warning system. If conditions feel unsafe, follow local authorities and your clinician's advice.
Data deletion
During beta, contact the Canary team from the support page and we can remove signup or tester data associated with your email or device.
Before public launch, replace this beta note with a lawyer-reviewed privacy policy.
